About Us

  • Our Culture
    • We like our clients, and have a service mentality
    • We love what we do, find pleasure in quality work, and aren’t working for money
    • We work with deliberate speed
  • The Design Of Our Service Offering
    • We are not General Contractors – you are. So you, procure materials (in some cases we can help), and we install it. This:
      • Reduces touchpoints throughout the remodel process;
      • Saves money by avoiding materials markups;
      • Saves money with no General Contractor to pay
    • Our workers are cross-functional, permitting single-person crews with a small literal and economic footprint.
    • Being experts, our workers can ‘play jazz’ and offer an array of solutions that keep the quality level high, without spending 10x to go ‘by the book’. You can install tile over linoleum, if there’s concrete backer beneath it and you use an epoxy thinset.
    • We focus on non-structural areas that provide the greatest appraisal value add to your property, don’t require licensing, and which aren’t specialties unto themselves. For example, hardwood flooring and exterior paint are areas we don’t work in. They require special tools (vans, trucks) and training that would add costs or prevent us from being cross-functional. Without structural or systems planning and builds, huge sums of money are saved.
    • Our work – tile, flooring, finish/trim work, outdoor walkways and hardscapes – comes *last* (finish work):
      • There are no complex dependencies and delays, and;
      • We stay on-site until the work is done
    • We have extremely low overhead. Our tools are for installations (no table saws, jackhammers, large trucks or vans for hauling materials), our offices are our homes, and our workers are 1099.
    • We don’t do commercial jobs, or mammoth residential jobs (which might necessitate a completion bond). We carry our own insurance, and our contract requires that the work be top-notch and be completed.
  • Our Process
    • We can provide ballpark bids through email, with photos, materials, and dimensions
    • We provide a small deposit to schedule an install
    • We send single carpenters to your place, in most instances, for a single point of contact
    • We have simple job milestones and payment structures that provide assurance to you, and which invest both parties in getting the work done swiftly.
