This client had a tile that was not flush with the others.
The bigger issue was they had an unscrupulous tile installer a) sell them on a glossy tile for underfoot (which you don’t do – it should be matte or textured), and b) use mortar for grout. The result was a film that had adhered to the tile surface, dulling it, and a splotchy ‘grout’.
We had to clean the surface of all the tile, and also clean the mortar between tiles, which, again, should have been grout.
We used a variety of solvents and brush heads to hand-scrub all 200 or so square feet.
