This was a kit sourced from stairwarehouse.com. It came short one post. Will return to complete the down-stair portion and stain it.
I was concerned about the newel fastener at the bottom of the post, so I reinforced with lag bolts and low-visibility brackets.
The horizontal balustrades provide some reinforcement. In all, I’m pleased with the outcome. Will post completed (updated) photos when it’s all done.
