El Sobrante Chimney, 2018
Chose not to demo a rather large chimney that didn’t look modern or fit the ranch style home. Used a power grinder and 4.5″ carbide blade to cut overhangs, and boxed above the mantle. All angles are mitered/beveled.

This was faux slate ceramic tile, which was chosen not for cost but texture and size. These are each 36″ long, making a 6′ wide hearth.
Another Ikea butcher block counter top. The hanging cabinet had to be lowered to the height of the sink, and the rear cabinet had to have the counter top removed and lifted a few inches.
Another Ikea kitchen. The paint swatches are for the homeowner to select the right color.
Coffered ceilings are a great idea. This was a house in Hayward.
One of two kitchens in an Oakland duplex. This client didn’t want side edging for this unit but behind the stove, edging was used to ‘hang’ the glass ‘seafoam’ tile.
